It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Fred Henry Engel, surrounded by his wife, Lorraine and stepdaughter, Lorna, whom he adopted, his daughter, Francis (Fran) and son, Erwin Engel. He passed away peacefully at the Red Deer Hospice at the age of 76, 11 days before his 77^th birthday.

Fred will be remembered by his loving wife Lorraine of 46 years, 2 daughters, Francis (Fran) and Lorna, sons Kevin and Erwin, eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, sisters Erma, Marlene and Betty (Bryan).

Fred was predeceased by his mother, Emma (2002), his father, Alexander (1999), his brother in law, Charles (2017), brother, Alfred (2018), brother in law, Leonard (2009) nephew, Reginald (2020), aunts, uncles and cousins.

Due to Covid-19, there will be a private family service at Red Deer Funeral Home.
