Charges laid in shooting at Sunchild First Nation

Charges have now been laid after a shooting last month at the Sunchild First Nation.

It was on Dec. 19 when the shooting took place leaving an adult male in hospital with critical injuries.

Rocky Mountain House RCMP says they arrested Bradley Lenard Redbear, 24, on Jan. 1, 2021. He has been charged with aggravated assault, discharge firearm with intent, pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and unauthorized possession of a firearm.

Redbear has been remanded into custody and is scheduled to appear on Jan. 6 in Rocky Mountain House provincial court.
