In Loving Memory of Mrs. Marie Josephine Stuart
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mrs. Marie Stuart of Red Deer, Alberta on Tuesday , November 24, 2020 at the age of 82 years. Mom was born in Castor, Alberta on October 22, 1938. The family moved to the Pine Lake area where she was raised and attended school until they moved to Red Deer. She loved to spend time with her family and friends and was a dedicated Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. One of her greatest joys were her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren whose frequent visits were treasured. They were always treated to large quantities of food and Grandma’s famous oatmeal cookies. Spring was a special time for Mom where she enjoyed planting her flowers and garden, and the return of her hummingbirds.
Marie will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 45 years, Ken Stuart of Red Deer County; her four children Diane Ray of Red Deer; Marty (Eileen) of Airdrie; Greg (Patty) of Red Deer; Patty (Rod) of Red Deer; her two stepchildren Stacey (Glen) of Grand Prairie; Leslie (Doug) of Cape Coral, Florida; Twelve Grandchildren and Sixteen Great Grandchildren; her sister Ester Soley of Red Deer County and Ted (Marg) Wagner of Calgary; her extended family, numerous dear friends, and neighbors. Marie was predeceased by her parents Jack and Christine Wager, Byron Soley, and Terry Ray.
We would like to express our extreme gratitude and thank you to the Staff and Doctors at Villa Marie for their care over the past two and a half years.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions a private Celebration of Life will take place in the future when all family members and friends can safely gather. It was Mom’s wish to have a Tea with everyone in the Spring.
If desired, Memorial Donations may be made directly to the Charity of Donor’s choice.
