Elizabeth Jean “Beth” Bodwell of Red Deer passed away at her home surrounded by her family on July 23, 2020 at the age of 90 years. Beth was born in 1930 in Victoria BC. Later, after moving to Alberta, Beth met and married Gordon and together they shared a very full life for 68 years. She had many hobbies, some of her favorites developed into so much more, cake decorating turned into a very busy career and knitting, we all had some very beautiful sweaters and blankets. Beth loved the outdoors, camping in the earlier years, developing a park like yard at the acreage which everyone enjoyed, years of going south for the winter and the many miles she walked. A lovely person and as her family we all feel so blessed to have had her in our lives for as long as we did, she will be missed by so many. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Gordon; son Rick (Sandy); daughters Marie (Bob) and Debbie (Marcel) as well as 6 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Sunnybrook United Church, 12 – Stanton St., Red Deer AB T4N 0B8. Condolences to Beth’s family may be emailed to meaningful@telus.net.
