Mrs. Connie Kum Coon Wong

Mrs. Connie Kum Coon Wong of Innisfail, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Innisfail Health Care Centre on June 25, 2020 at the age of 87 years. Connie was born on September 2, 1932 in China. She was the second of four children. After many memories, she married Len Wong in 1954, and then they moved to Alberta. They started in Bieseker, then to Hanna, resided in Turner Valley where they ran a business, The Royal Café. After hard work and determination, they bought a farm near Innisfail in 1967. They eventually moved to that farm which became their home. Connie acted out of love for her family, her friends, and the community around her. Connie was survived by her loving husband, Len, who then passed only four days after his bride. Connie is lovingly remembered by her children, Shirley and Sam, and her grandchildren, Andrew, Kathryn, Anthony, and Kassandra, her brother, sister, aunts, uncles, numerous friends, as well as by her Cottonwood Princesses. Connie was predeceased by her parents, Fong and William Woo, and her old brother, Kam. The family would like to express their gratitude towards the physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals that made her final days as comfortable as possible.

A Private Family Service will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at the Innisfail Cemetery.
