Mrs. Linda Simpson
Posted Jun 8, 2020 | 3:24 PM
It is with deep and heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Linda Simpson on May 29, 2020, at the age of 70 – after a very short and fierce battle with cancer. Linda passed away at the family home where she and her husband of 50 years, Ross Ira Simpson, raised their two surviving children: Robert John Simpson and Chantel Marie Simpson. Sadly, Ross predeceased Linda in November, 2019. Linda caught the travel bug at a young age, and a good portion of her life was spent travelling to places she loved. With her family at her side, there was very little of Canada, United States, and Mexico that she was not familiar with. Hawaii was one of her favorite destinations. She loved the sights, the sun and the shopping – rinse and repeat! She shared her love for travel as a very successful travel agent, and her enthusiasm, inviting spirit, and passion for the work gained her many clients who also became friends. Linda took pride in the life she lived, and she lived it for her family. She was a devoted wife and a dedicated mother. There was no effort too great when it came to helping her family and friends. She faced any problem with them – with fierce and unwavering determination. It is difficult to express how much she will be missed, but there is gladness in knowing she is at peace. Due to Covid restrictions, a private memorial gathering will be held for Linda on Monday, June 15, at 2 pm. Live streaming will be available the day of, please see Linda’s memorial page at Parkland Funeral Home www.parklandfuneralhome.com
