It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Egbert ‘Ed’ Wietse Weiland of Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, May 24, 2020 at the age of 72 years. Ed was born in the Netherlands and came to Canada at four years of age.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Shirley Weiland; his son, Todd Weiland of Edmonton, Alberta; his step-son, Wayne Gislason and family of Bonnyville, Alberta; his daughter, Sherry Weiland and family of Lloydminster, Alberta; his step-daughter, Shelley and family of Vernon, British Columbia; his nine grandchildren and his four great grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his brother, Ron Weiland and family of Red Deer, Alberta. Ed was predeceased by his parents and a sister. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
