Man dies after crashing truck into river near Rimbey
One man is dead after a truck hit a bridge guardrail and rolled into a river southwest of Rimbey on Monday.
On May 18 at 9:43 a.m., Rimbey RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision on Township Road 420 near Leedale. A 31-year-old male was located deceased.
The investigation indicates that a pick-up truck was eastbound on Township Road 420 when it collided with a bridge guardrail and rolled into a river. Mounties say the sole occupant of the truck was located in the river and determined deceased.
RCMP Air Services and the Ponoka County Fire Department conducted a search of the river and surrounding area to establish that there were no other vehicle occupants.
