Federal government spending $192-million to produce COVID-19 vaccines
OTTAWA, ON – Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says the federal government is planning to invest $192 million to help create and produce vaccines for COVID-19.
The money will be distributed to a number of different companies and universities in the drive to find a way to stop the illness’s spread.
“Canada is home to some of the most skilled and brightest researchers in the world, who are working hard to develop countermeasures that will protect the health and safety of Canadians and support international efforts to fight this pandemic. We are all in this together, and need to be doing our part to prevent the spread of the virus,” Trudeau said.
