New jury trials suspended at all Alberta courthouses
Mar 14, 2020 | 9:59 AM
All jury trials in Alberta have been suspended until at least the end of May due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The move comes a day after Alberta’s chief medical officer advised against any public gatherings of 250 people or more.
People already sitting on a jury as part of an ongoing trial are required to report to court as usual.
New jury trials have also been suspended in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Ontario.
