Red Deer Catholic Regional Schools reminding drivers to slow down near school buses

Red Deer Regional Catholic Schools would like to remind drivers in the City of Red Deer to take extra care around school buses.

Red Deer’s bylaws prohibit school buses from using flashing red lights, so please be extra vigilant near stopped school buses.

Please help keep our students safe. Drive slowly and with caution near school buses.

Also, please keep in mind that bylaws are different in Blackfalds, Innisfail, Sylvan Lake and Red Deer County.

When a school bus turns on the flashing red lights, this means stop in both directions, and never pass. It’s against the law, and could have dire consequences.
