Prep work continues for new high school in Blackfalds
Initial design services and site investigation work will soon be getting underway on a new high school in Blackfalds.
That, according to Town officials who recently met with representatives from Alberta Education and Alberta Infrastructure.
Mayor Richard Poole says council received an update on the project’s status last week.
“They discussed the area, the type of building that they might be looking at, how much area it would take, and everything that would be supporting that design,” says Poole. “Wolf Creek (Public Schools) is in charge of programming for that school, but we’ll all be working really hard to make sure that they provide a comprehensive school that will allow for spaces within the school to provide a variety of different courses.”
