Bridge inspection to result lane closures Thursday

Drivers are being given a heads up to expect some traffic delays on Thursday.

City of Red Deer officials say a bridge inspection being completed by Alberta Transportation is expected to impact traffic flow on 67 Street.

The northbound on-ramp leading from 67 Street to the QE2 will be closed from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. as crews inspect the underside of the bridge for damage caused after it was struck by a vehicle.

The northbound slow lane on the QE2 will also be closed north and south of the overpass.

The northbound off-ramp from the QE2 onto 67 Street will remain open to traffic during the inspection.
