Woman’s body found near Cochrane

COCHRANE- On Feb. 26, at approximately 6:30 p.m., RCMP received a call of a body on Hwy 8 southeast of Cochrane.

On Feb. 27, an autopsy was completed at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Calgary and the manner of death has been deemed a homicide.

The 24-year-old woman from Calgary has been tentatively identified; however her name will not be released at this time.

The RCMP Major Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation.
