Red Deer & District Community Foundation seeking volunteers

RED DEER- Are you looking to volunteer on a Board that creates impact and positive change in your community?

The Red Deer & District Community Foundation is recruiting volunteers to join the team.

The Foundation is an independent, community-based organization that focuses on philanthropy, grants and leadership.

We work closely with our donors to invest in the people, projects and activities that continue to build and strengthen our communities by identifying long term needs and opportunities and focusing on sustainable solutions.

The Foundation has been around since 1989 and has granted over $11.5 million to charitable projects within Central Alberta.

In 2020 the Board of Directors is recruiting individuals with the following skills and experience that include, board governance, communications & marketing, investment management, human resources, and strategic planning.

The volunteer commitment is a three year term with an opportunity for a second term re-election.

The Board meets six times a year in addition to standing committee meetings.

The time commitment is approximately 10 hours per month.
