Outreach Centre benefits from latest 100+ Women donation

100+ Women Who Care Red Deer kicked off its sixth year this week.

The organization heard pitches from The Lending Cupboard, Central Alberta Women’s Outreach Society, and the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre Lifeline.

The Outreach Centre, which had been nominated six times previously, finally broke through and garnered the most votes.

The focus of their presentation was on The Dragonfly Centre, which opened in the fall of 2018.

With this week’s donations, 100+ Women’s donations now total over $400,000 since 2015. More than 130 women attended the meeting.

The next get-together for 100+ Women is April 20, while 100 Men Who Care Red Deer have their first meeting of the year scheduled for March 9.
