February 23, 1949 – October 2, 2017
Jane was born at Eckville, Alberta. Her love of art grew, as she did in Red Deer. She lived in Edmonton, Calgary, and Saitama-ken, Japan, and passed away in Red Deer. Jane is survived by her husband, Yoichi Kato, brother, Walter Rees, sisters; Mary Ann Steele, and Brenda Funk, sixteen nieces and nephews, twenty one great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece . She is also survived by Yoichi’s mother, and his brother. Jane was pre-deceased by her parents Elmer and Isabel Rees, and sister, Margaret Rees. A Memorial Service will be held at The Centre for Spiritual Living, 6315 Horn Street, Red Deer Alberta on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. In memory of Jane’s vibrant personality, please wear bright colors.
