Robert “Bob” Garfield Bessey, of Innisfail, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on May 4, 2018 at the age of 50 years. Bob was born on March 14, 1968, in Happy Valley, Labrador. He lived there for 32 years of his life and then moved out west to Innisfail, Alberta. This has been his home for 18 years. Bob was a power linesman and loved every aspect of his work. He was married to Claudette Whittle of St. Bernard’s, Newfoundland. They had been together for 25 years. He was an athlete who excelled in all his sports. He is known for his strength and integrity of heart. He shared all he had, he loved the good old outdoors and had great comforts in camping with his family. He was always looking for a deal. He would give you the shirt off his back. He loved a good party and to cook and to serve. Bob is lovingly remembered by his spouse Claudette Bessey, 2 sons, Jacob and Justin, 3 daughters Bobbie, Haley, and Cheyenne, sister Cindy (Dean), Sherry (Billy), Lois (Paul), Shelly (Dwayne). Along with parents Garfield and Lily Bessey. Robert was predeceased by his brother Derek. A Celebration of Life will be held at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, 4304 – 49 Ave., Innisfail, AB on Thursday May 10, 2018 at 1:00 pm. A memorial service will be held in Happy Valley, Goose Bay at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 – Arnot Ave., Red Deer AB T4R 3S6 – a home away from home with comfort and care beyond compare.
