Andrew Norman "Andy" Rowat

Andrew Norman “Andy” Rowat of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on July 13, 2018 at the age of 71 years.
Andy was born on March 31, 1947 in Red Deer, Alberta, where he was also raised. He worked as a dispatcher / taxi driver for more than 25 years.
Andy married Betty and had two children, Lorna and Scott. He loved golfing, fishing, and playing pool. He was also a survivor of the Pine Lake tornado of July 14, 2000.
Andy was predeceased by grandparents William and Annie Rowat, parents Norman and Ina Rowat, and daughter Lorna Bannister. Andy is lovingly remembered by son Scott Rowat (Robin); brother Ian Rowat (Dawn) and their children Colin (Jacqui) and Sarah; grandchildren Shaley (Brandon), Miranda (Adam), Kelsea (Brandon), McKenzie and Ryan; and great-grandchildren Ainsley, Jace, Brinley, and Paisley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Golden Circle Senior Resource Centre, 4620 – 47 Avenue, Red Deer, AB, T4N 6C3.
