Catlin Myles Hannah

With love for life and adventure, Catlin climbed his final mountain on August 13, 2018.
Born in October 1990, Catlin grew up in the Red Deer and Penhold area. He was a spirited child with an infectious grin. As a young man, he was adventurous yet focused, setting goals and working tirelessly to realize his dreams. He was proud to purchase his own home at the age of 21.
Catlin was a proud and loving father to his young son Tristan. When he wasn’t parenting or working, Catlin enjoyed Spartan Race and Mud Hero competitions, climbing and hiking, all of which involved his love of the outdoors.
Catlin is survived by son Tristan Gouldhawke; parents Deanna Bara of Red Deer and Alan Hannah of Edmonton; stepdad Miles Bara; sister Averly Bara and brother Kailis Hannah; and grandparents Jim and Sandy Carton, Nana Hannah and Elsie Bara.
He is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins: Vickie Bailey, Bob Bailey, and Tanner, Brett and Josh; Cherie and Len Lamb, and Coleson and Cylis; James and Cynthia Carton; Scott Hannah; Karen and Robert Masse, and McKenna and Braeden; Kirsty Hannah and Raj Prasad, and Jordan and Joshua; and climbing buddies Evan, Happy and Carter. He was predeceased by Granddad Hannah.
Catlin was full of smiles, cracking jokes and keeping positive. He lived for his son and the summits. He kept to himself and spent the time he had to the fullest, never wasting a moment. His positive energy radiated to those around him, but his smile will be remembered the most.
A heartfelt thanks for all of those involved in the search team.
A Celebration of Life for Catlin will be held on Saturday, August 18 at 2:00 pm at the Penhold Drop In Centre, 3001 Minto Street, Penhold, Alberta.
