Patricia Ella Kind (Wylie)

Patricia Ella Kind (Wylie), of Eckville, AB passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 in the Red Deer Regional Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. Pat was born in Eckville, AB on September 6, 1942, the second child of Orrin and Iva Wylie (Christie). Pat was married to Ronald Kind on July 8, 1961 in Benalto, AB. Pat took her schooling in Benalto and afterwards worked at the Eckville hospital, Eckville Coop, Eckville Dairy Pool Creamery and was a school bus driver for the Wolf Creek School Division for almost 30 years. Pat had a great zest for life, she was a practical joker, always having fun and enjoyed everyone’s stories. Pat always had the coffee on, cards out and her home was always open to everyone, where her friends and family would gather around the kitchen table, laughing and sharing stories. Pat was a great cook who prepared endless meals for all those who visited. Pat loved gardening, camping out west, enjoyed time quadding sitting around the campfire and especially loved listening to the kids sing and play music. Most importantly Pat was a loving wife, caring mother, loving grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. Pat brought smiles to the faces of many and through her compassion, kindness and generosity many lives were enriched and made easier. Pat is survived by her husband of 57 years, Ron Kind and her two children, Cindy Cave (Trevor) and Rhonda Volk (Jason), grand-children Preston Cave, Chantel Cave, Shane Cave, Aaron Volk, Jordan Volk, Morgan Volk and Rhyan Volk, great-granddaughter Saige Cave, brother Harvey Wylie (Beryl), sisters Carolyn Oborne, Elaine Vandean and Arlene Armeneau (Tom), nephew Trevor Oborne, nieces Tammy Matson, Stacey Wylie and Becky Jardine. Pat was especially close to and was survived by her nephew Courtnay Wylie (Chantel) and their children, Piper and Paige Wylie. Pat was pre-deceased by her father, Orrin Wylie, Mother, Iva Wylie, brother Robert and brother-in-law Wayne Oborne. A Celebration of Pat’s Life will be held at the Eckville Community Centre, Eckville, Alberta on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m.
