Anne Shaw Morrison

Anne Shaw Morrison of Red Deer passed away at Extendicare Michener Hill on February 10, 2019 at the age of 93 years.
Anne was born on May 3, 1925 in Eston SK. She trained as a messenger for the Canadian Women’s Army Corps (CWACS) and after discharge, she retrained as a Nursing Aide.
Anne attended and volunteered for the West Park Presbyterian Church for a number of years as well as volunteering for many local charities. She enjoyed walking and socializing, often taking the opportunity to share in a good clean joke.
Anne and her husband Jack were married for 42 years prior to his passing in 1995. Anne is survived by her son Don (Ruth) Morrison and their daughter Meaghan; daughter-in-law Mary Jane Morrison and her children Kylie, Will and Kate; sisters Norma Dixon and Mary Dalman; sister-in-law Pat Greene as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family members and lifelong friends.
She was predeceased by her husband Jack; son Ken; brother Alec and her twin sister Marg.
A service to honour Anne’s life will be held at the West Park Presbyterian Church, 3628 – 57 Ave. Red Deer AB on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. For those attending Anne’s service, you are invited to wear your Saskatchewan Roughrider jersey in honour of her love of the team.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to West Park Presbyterian Church, 3628 – 57 Ave, Red Deer AB, T4N 4R5 or to a charity of donor’s choice. In memory of Anne, take the time to make someone smile by sharing a good clean joke with a friend.
