Stewart, Walter James
June 19, 1945 – February 21, 2019

Walt passed away on February 21, 2019 at Red Deer Regional Hospital after battling bile duct cancer since May 2017.
Walter is survived by his wife Betty of 27 years; his 2 daughters Mellanie Kopec (grandsons Bryce and Brody); Sarah Szeszorak (Cam)( grandchildren Nickolas and Alexandra) ; His 3 sons Walter Jr. (grandson James); Mike (Sandy)(grandchildren Michael Jr., Paige, Emil and Ryan); Jaron (Dawn) (grandchildren Braden, McKinley, Ryan and Drayden); Sister Roberta; Brother Kim; special cousins Evelyn (Bryan) and Rodney as well as many nieces, nephews and other extended family members.

Walter is predeceased by his father Robert Potter Stewart and mother Ellen Beatrice Stewart (Williams).
He was a gentle, loving husband, father and grandfather who loved to go camping, golfing, fishing and spending time with his family.

Service will be held Sunday, March 3, 2019 at 2:30p.m. at Red Deer Funeral Home, 6150 67 Street, Red Deer, Ab.
The family is grateful to the staff at the Red Deer Regional Hospital for his care in the last couple of years.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Central Alberta Cancer Centre 3942, 50A Ave, Red Deer or the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation.
