It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to our dear Dad and Grandpa, Roy Conrad Weis. Roy passed away on May 14, 2019 at the age of 80. Roy will be deeply missed by his daughters Yvonne, Jeannette (Rick) and Mona (Dave); grandchildren Lindsay (Todd), Shane (Taylor), Shawn (Letisha), Natasha (Dustin), Shelby (Dax) and Dakota (Rikki-Lynn); great-grandchildren Dexter, Lyla, Calvin, James and Grady; sisters Hazel Pedersen and Marjorie (Ron) Paquette; brother Howard (Janice) Weis; sister-in-law Anneke Barry; brothers-in-law Bill Vonk (Jacqueline); Charlie Siltala; numerous cousins; nieces; nephews and friends. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Marianne; his parents Floyd and Violet Weis; father and mother-in-law John and Wilhelmina Vonk; son-in-law Ron Hillier; grandson Kurtis Hillier; sisters Velma Weis and Harriet Siltala; brothers-in-law Ossie Barry, Glen Enzie and Morris Pedersen. Roy’s greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Anne’s of the Prairies Catholic Church in Trochu, Alberta. A Celebration of Roy’s Life will follow at 1:00 pm at the Elnora Hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Kidney Foundation, 202, 11227 – Jasper Ave. Edmonton AB T5K 0L5.
