Peacefully on July 12th, 2019, Ernst (Ernie) Kowald passed away at the age of 94, at the Lacombe Hospital and Continuing Care facility.
He was predeceased by his wife Martha (2008), parents Alfred (passing unknown) and Charlotte (2001), and step-father Herb (1985). He will be lovingly remembered by his sons Peter (Sharon), Ralph (Carol); grandchildren Jennifer (Daniel), Bradley (Kristen), Evan (Kim), Audrey (Courtenay) and Candace; and great grandchildren Myla, Knoll and Elaina.
A small family service will be held at the Alto Reste cemetery in Red Deer on Friday, July 19th, 2019 at 1:00 pm where his ashes will be interned with Martha’s.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Lacombe Continuing Care facility for their great care provided Ernie during the his 4 ½ years there.
