It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Angela Doreen Carlyle on July 15, 2019.
Angela was born in Chester, England in 1945 and at the age of 2 she immigrated to Alberta with her parents. Angela received a Bachelors Degree in Education and a Masters in History from the University of Alberta. She started her teaching career at Eastview Junior High and then moved to Red Deer College from which she retired.
She enjoyed spending her time volunteering with a number of organizations, travelling with friends and family, gardening, reading, sewing, knitting and recently she rediscovered her love for water colour painting. To those who knew her well, Angela will be remembered as someone with a generous and loving heart.
Angela will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband Gary L’Hirondelle; daughter Jill Jeske; son Hal (Patty) Jeske and Hal’s son Justin Duncan; step-daughter Patrice (Dave) Klooster and their children Addison and Avery; step-son Paul L’Hirondelle, sister Deb (Howard) Jewell and many dear friends. Angela was predeceased by her parents Kenneth and Doreen Carlyle.
Although Angela did not foresee leaving this life so early, she lived knowing that she would be reunited with loved ones in heaven. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, July 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Leonard’s on The Hill Anglican Church, 4241-44th Street, Red Deer.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Central Alberta Humane Society.
