Mr. Darren Michael Mainville

Mr. Darren Michael Mainville of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, passed away quietly with his family by his side, on Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the age of 48 years. Darren was born in Fort Frances, Ontario on December 7, 1970, the oldest of three sons born to Michael Mainville and Patricia Bruyere. Darren moved to Alberta with his family in 1977, and has lived in Central Alberta ever since. Upon Graduation from High School, Darren started his career in the Oil and Gas Industry; working on drilling rigs, service rigs, doing sales and working on pipelines. Darren joyfully welcomed his daughter, Katie into the world on July 24, 1992 and his son, Justin on December 22, 1995. Darren was a proud father and created a beautiful life for his children. Darren loved the outdoors. He would frequently spend his free time fishing, hunting, camping, and exploring. He was an exceptional cook and loved cooking meals for his friends and family. We love you, Chief. You will be forever missed. Darren will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Katie (Rylan), his son, Justin, their mother, Alonia, his parents, Mike (Deb) Mainville, and Patricia (Doug) Lee, and his brother, Duane (Barb) Mainville; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins and more friends than we could possibly count. Darren was predeceased by his brother, David Mainville. A Celebration of Darren’s Life will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Darren’s honor may be made directly to the STARS Air Ambulance at www.stars.ca.
