Minh Quoc Hau

Minh Quoc Hau of Red Deer passed away at the Red Deer Hospice Society on November 18, 2019 at the age of 80 years.
Minh immigrated to Canada as a refugee with his wife and two sons from Vietnam in 1979. He was a conscientious hard worker at various hotels and Costco Red Deer in their maintenance department. Minh and his wife can boast about paying off their mortgage in five years. Prior to immigrating to Canada, Minh was a road racing cyclist. He competed at the Asian Games throughout Asia and eventually became head coach of the Vietnam National Cycling team.
Minh is lovingly remembered by sons Jim (Tracy) Hau and Don (Kim) Hau, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Mai Ngoc Hau, brother Ngoc Quoc Hau, mother Tien Ta, and father Dong Hau.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Deer Park Alliance Church on Friday, November 22 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Family and friends will be able to pay their respects during this time.
