Mr. Archie Duane Kerbes

Mr. Archie Duane Kerbes of Red Deer, Alberta slipped away peacefully from this world, with love surrounding him, laughter in the air and a wrench in his hand, on Monday, November 18, 2019 at the age of 66 years. Before passing, Archie forged an impressive trail of laughter, love, rhythm and wisdom; which he shared freely with everyone he knew. While his whole family is deeply saddened by his passing, there is reason to believe his ‘dementia’ was an elaborate plan to get out of learning to cook. Well played, Sir – well played. With the mindset that a failed memory is just an opportunity to meet new people every day, he took up residence in the hearts of everyone who met him. Some people bring a light so great into this world, that even then they’re gone, their light remains. Archie’s light was like that, and it remains in everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. Archie was known for his timeless words of wisdom and advice, such as “well…” and “hmmm”, both of which have helped many through the years. His love for good food and a cold beer was only superseded by his love for his family. A special heartfelt Thank You to all his special ladies at the Rosefield Centre, Innisfail; your love, support and care made his last dance the best of them all. He will be truly missed. Condolences may be sent or viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com. Arrangements in care of Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, 6287 – 67 A Street (Taylor Drive), Red Deer. 403.340.4040 or 1.800.481.7421.
