Mounties seize stolen truck, meth in Ponoka
A police patrol of a “hot spot” crime area in Ponoka led to the seizure of methamphetamine and a stolen truck, along with four people being charged.
On November 1, a Ponoka RCMP member located a stolen Dodge truck while conducting patrols in the downtown area. Arrests were made and a search warrant was granted for the residence where the truck – reported stolen out of Stettler on Oct. 23 – was located.
23-year-old Sarah Louise Alderson of Drumheller has been charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking. Alderson was also the subject of five arrest warrants out of Drumheller.
62-year-old Harold Robert Potts has been charged with one count of possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.
