Thousands of visitors have converged on Red Deer to enjoy the 46th edition Canadian Finals Rodeo.

CFR46 gets underway at Red Deer’s Westerner Park starting tonight and running through Sunday.

This year, Westerner Park officials note 55 free events for visitors to take in, with show highlights to include the Canadian Finals Breakaway, Rising Stars Mini Chuckwagon Challenge, Bucking Horse Futurity, Ultimate Cowboy Challenge, Xtreme Cowboy Competition and Stock Dogs.

Also, in partnership with Red Deer Regional Airport, CFR has released an exclusive set of seats available for purchase to the public that will benefit Ronald McDonald House Central Alberta.

The Exclusive Chute Seats are located on the south-east end of the Centrium, next to the Carvery—Westerner Park’s premium concession that sells craft beer, cocktails and gourmet sandwiches.

With a ‘bird’s eye view’ over the arena’s bucking chutes, the vantage point from these seats are considered to be the best seats in the house by CFR staff.

Exclusive Chute Seating will provide a premium viewing experience for all seven of CFR 46’s rodeo Performances, including the Rising Stars Junior Canadian Finals on Saturday afternoon.

Among the highlights on Tuesday, rodeo goers can check out the Miss Rodeo Canada Horsemanship Competition, Ultimate Cowboy Challenge, CFR Trade Show, Athlete Hot Stove and Autographs, Rising Stars Mini Chuckwagon Challenge Qualifiers, Main Rodeo performances, and Doc Walker on the TD Cabaret Stage.
