Workplace fatality in Airdrie under investigation

AIRDRIE- RCMP and Occupational Health and Safety are investigating a workplace death.

On October 2, at approximately 2:28 p.m, RCMP responded to an incident in the 100 block of Windford Street in Airdrie.

Upon arrival, a 38-year-old Calgary man was found deceased at the scene.

Investigation has revealed that the construction worker was bent over working on a storm drain when he was hit by a work truck.

The worker’s name has not been released.
