Stephen Mandel added to Alberta Health Services board

EDMONTON- Former provincial health minister and Edmonton mayor Stephen Mandel is one of two new members added to the Alberta Health Services board.

Mandel also served as the leader of the Alberta Party from last year until June 30.

The United Conservative government says he will bring expertise in business and government that will help guide spending in mental health, addiction, primary and palliative care.

It says Edmonton businesswoman and community leader Heidi Overguard will bring a rural community viewpoint to planning and decision-making.
