Charges laid following altercation at Lethbridge hockey tournament
Police in Lethbridge have charged a man after an altercation Sunday at a youth hockey tournament.
Robert Farrell Creighton of Standoff, AB has been charged with one count of assault. The 55-year-old is out of custody and will appear in court on October 9.
The incident in question happened at the Quest for the Cup three-on-three tournament at the Crossings Ice Centre (ATB Centre) in west Lethbridge.
At around 2:00 p.m., police responded to a report of an assault. It’s since been determined that at the conclusion of a game, a 10-year-old male player was involved in a verbal dispute with a referee.
