Three people injured, one critically, in Edmonton apartment fire

EDMONTON- One person is in critical condition after they became trapped in a burning suite of an Edmonton apartment block.

The victim had to be rescued by firefighters when flames broke out Monday afternoon in a southwest neighbourhood.

Officials say the fire started in the patio area of a suite on the main floor and quickly spread to the second level.

Two other people were also sent to hospital, but their conditions are not known.
