Man found shot in rural area west of Blackfalds

Blackfalds RCMP are investigating after a man was found in a rural area with several gunshot wounds.

Members responded on Friday, Aug. 30 a rural location west of town. There, the victim was treated by medical personnel. He was later transported by STARS from Red Deer to Edmonton for further treatment. He was in stable, but serious condition.

RCMP do not believe the general public is at risk.
