Fireworks ban reminder issued by Town of Sylvan Lake

People who live in and visit Sylvan Lake are being reminded that fireworks are not permitted in the town.

“We’re aware of a few incidents in town, as recently as Thursday evening, with members of the public igniting low-level fireworks,” says Cliff Brausen, Sylvan Lake Fire Department Chief.

“With the weather shaping up prior to this weekend, we want to be very clear that we have no tolerance for the use of these hazardous items.”

The list of banned items includes fireworks, sparklers, bottle rockets, firecrackers, and Chinese lanterns.
