Summertime is hail time in Alberta

EDMONTON- Insurance companies are warning people to brace for more summer storms in Alberta, which sees more insured losses than all the other provinces combined.

AMA insurance experts say 51% of all storm-related damage in Canada since 2010 has occurred in Alberta.

Since 2010, there has been about $5 billion of insured damage in the province.

The growing cost is leaving a big dent in the bottom line for car dealerships.

Some now put their cars in tents to protect them from hail.
