Suspects steal victim’s bike following hit and run: RCMP
Red Deer RCMP are looking for public assistance to identify suspects following a hit and run between a vehicle and a male on a bicycle.
On June 16, at approximately 3:00 a.m., Mounties responded to a report of a male with injuries at 5239 53 Avenue. Upon arrival, they found a 36-year old male who had been struck by a vehicle while riding a bicycle, and then subsequently beaten by two male suspects.
The victim was transported to Red Deer Regional Hospital with serious injuries.
Adding insult to injury, police say the male suspects placed the victim’s bicycle in the back of their vehicle before fleeing southbound on 53 Avenue then east on 52 Street toward Gaetz Avenue.
