Blackfalds, Lacombe roll out BOLT Transit survey

The City of Lacombe and the Town of Blackfalds are asking for your input on BOLT Transit service in order to help prioritize improvement options.

Residents and riders are being asked to complete a survey to highlight why they do (or do not) use BOLT Transit and how the system may be improved to better meet the needs of all users.

The survey is available by visiting blackfalds.com/bolt and clicking on the link. The survey will take about 10 minutes to complete and runs until August 2.

Information collected will remain anonymous; however, to enter into the draw for a $250 IGA / Sobeys gift card, residents will need to provide contact information at the end of the survey.

“This is a great opportunity to hear from residents who use the service on what they like and would improve and also from non-users, to provide input on why they don’t use the service and what we could change to make them future users,” states Blackfalds Economic Development Officer, Jennifer Hartigh.

“City Council has committed to reviewing how well public transportation is meeting demand and cost requirements,” said Lacombe’s Community Economic Development Manager Guy Lapointe. “This survey is one way for the regional transit committee to identify potential options for service improvement that may help us to maximize usage.”

BOLT Regional Public Transit provides service to Blackfalds, Lacombe and Red Deer. BOLT offers opportunities for residents to get into Red Deer, Blackfalds or Lacombe throughout the week.
