Town of Rocky Mountain House selling old recreation building

Rocky Mountain House town council voted in a recent meeting to sell the old recreation building at 4511-42 street as surplus land.

Currently, the industrial building and lot is not on the Town’s declared surplus list and the assessment has varied over the last few years.

The Planning and Community Development Department contracted a qualified appraiser to do a current market valuation for the building and lots as is, with the number coming in at $690,000.

Ownership of the property last transferred on March 31, 2006. According to the information available, the Town of Rocky Mountain House acquired the property for $600,500.

The lot that will soon be for sale is located in the town’s southwest.
