Routine patrols leads to arrests at industrial park business in County

May 10, 2019 | 11:20 PM

Two men were arrested in Red Deer County on Thursday as Blackfalds RCMP members were doing routine patrols.

It was in the early morning hours when members were doing patrols at an industrial park in an effort to curb crime, they say.

Whilst doing so, they observed a truck parked and running in front of a closed business. When a member approached, the truck fled and two other males fled on foot.

With aid from Red Deer area Police Dog Services, the males were located nearby and taken into custody.

Thomas Larkin of Red Deer County and Zacharias Paradoski of Blackfalds are each charged with two counts of break and enter, and resisting arrest, while Paradoski was also charged with two counts of failing to comply with conditions, and possession of break-in tools.

They were released following a court appearance on large cash bail and will appear once again on May 21.

“Blackfalds RCMP continue to make crime reduction a priority and continue to encourage members of the public to call in any suspicious activity,” the detachment says.

If anyone has information regarding these suspects, they are asked to contact the Blackfalds RCMP Detachment at 403-885-3300 or their local police. If you wish to remain anonymous, you can contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS), online at www.P3Tips.com or by using the “P3 Tips” app available through the Apple App or Google Play Store.”
