Chamber hosting Emergency Preparedness Workshop

RED DEER- The Red Deer Chamber of Commerce is hosting an emergency preparedness workshop on May 23.

Disasters and emergencies can wreak havoc on a business resulting in decreased operating time, lost income and potentially even causing businesses to close.

Those attending the workshop will hear from experts to help businesses to develop a plan on preparedness.

Speakers include Karen Mann, Emergency Management, City of Red Deer, Red Deer County Councillor Jean Bota discussing rural crime, and Tyler Pelke, Acting Chief, Red Deer Emergency Services .

The workshop will run from 8 a.m to 1 p.m. in the JA Room at the Chamber Office and includes lunch. The cost is $50 for members, $60 for non-members.
