‘Innocent bystander’ dies after Toronto shooting that left two dead
TORONTO — A bystander died following an incident in which a man was chased down and fatally shot outside a busy bowling alley on Saturday night, Toronto police said.
Two shooters fired bullets toward the doors of the Playtime Bowl on Saturday night, striking 29-year-old Ruma Amar and Thanh Tien Ngo, 32, said Det. Rob Choe.
“Mr. Ngo was the intended target when Mrs. Amar was shot,” Choe told reporters on Sunday afternoon, adding that the two didn’t know each other.
He said Ngo had been there socializing with at least one other person, but left the building before two armed suspects pursued him back to its doors and fired.
