Toddler dies after falling into septic tank southwest of Calgary

PRIDDIS- A two-year-old boy has died after falling into an underground sewage tank in a rural area southwest of Calgary.

RCMP were called to a home near Priddis on Thursday along with fire crews and emergency responders.

They say the boy was removed from the tank and flown by air ambulance to Calgary Children’s Hospital, but did not survive.

Fatima Khawaja, a spokeswoman for STARS, says the boy was in critical, life-threatening condition when ambulance personnel dropped him off at the hospital.
