Decision coming in November in impaired driving causing trial
A decision will be handed down on November 13 for a woman accused of impaired driving in a fatal collision last year.
A two-day trial took place in September for Bobbi Crotty on one count of impaired driving causing death and three counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm.
The Crown alleged Crotty was drunk when she drove her Dodge Nitro westbound on Highway 11 on the night of August 5, 2017 and collided with an eastbound Mistubishi Lancer containing two women. The 36-year-old passenger in the Mitsubishi died from her injuries.
An RCMP collision reconstructionist told court that his investigation revealed Crotty’s vehicle continued travelling in the left-hand lane after the lanes had merged into one before her SUV collided with the oncoming car.
