Weekend Wrap-Up: Dec 1-2
A unique open house on Saturday in Clearview Meadows raised money for the Central Alberta Humane Society.
Vince Jackman and Tom Kereluk have decorated their home for more than a decade now with a smorgasbord of unique Christmas trees, 105 to be exact this year.
Jackman, who sits on the humane society’s board of directors, encourages those gifting a new pet this holiday season to strongly consider getting a rescue.
“A lot of these animals come from abusive homes, are dropped off, or they’re part of an over-population problem,” Jackman said. “Our society is dedicated to making sure every animal, big or small, even snakes, anything that comes in finds a brand new home and a forever home.”
