Cocaine and cash seized in Maskwacis traffic stop

Maskwacis Mounties are encouraging members of the public to continue reporting suspicious activity in their community, following the seizure of cocaine and cash during a traffic stop this week.

On January 23 as a result of an ongoing investigation, the Maskwacis RCMP Community Response Unit initiated a traffic stop which resulted in the seizure of 23 grams of crack cocaine and $2,400 cash.

Charged is Rebecca Wahkeenew, 35, of Maskwacis who faces counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule I: cocaine and failure to comply with condition of undertaking or recognizance.

Also charged is Carolyn Firingstoney, 32, of Maskwacis who faces one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking – schedule I: Cocaine.
