Lacombe traffic stop turns up firearms, meth
Two men are in custody following a routine traffic stop that led to the discovery of methamphetamine and illegal firearms.
Lacombe police conducted a routine traffic stop on February 25. It was soon discovered that a male in the vehicle had broken his curfew conditions and was arrested. A further search of the vehicle led to the discovery of two loaded firearms and methamphetamine.
During the search, another suspect associated to the man in the vehicle was seen walking around in the area. Police later learned this individual was also in possession of a firearm.
Officers searched the area and located the firearm and arrested the individual. Upon his arrested they discovered he was also in possession of methamphetamine and ammunition.
