Creep catcher trial to resume next month

The trial for a local creep catcher facing mischief and criminal harassment charges will continue next month.

Carl Young, 37, who uses the last name Murphy, was charged in December after Lacombe Police say he targeted another individual online using vigilante-type tactics. Police claim he lured the person into meeting in person without justification or facts.

His trial got underway Friday in Red Deer with court hearing from two witnesses.

Lacombe Police Service Sgt. John Hubbard answered several background questions before watched a 90 minute video of his interview with Young upon his arrest.
